Jennifer Moumneh

Director & University Ombuds

 Jennifer currently serves as the Director and University Ombuds for the University of California, Irvine. She holds a Master of Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution at the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, as well as an M.B.A. from the Paul Merage School of Business at UCI. She is also a Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioner®. Prior to joining UCI’s Office of the Ombuds in 2006, Jennifer served as an Ombuds for UCLA. She has also mediated cases for the university and court systems. Jennifer served as a member of the Board of Directors for the International Ombuds Association from 2008-2013, and she also served on the Board of Certification for Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioners® from 2011-2021. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys trying new restaurants, taking dance classes, and spending time with her family.
Shawn Hutchens
Senior Associate Ombuds Director, Basic Mediation Training Program		 Shawn serves as a Senior Associate Ombuds for the University of California, Irvine and is the Director of the office’s Basic Mediation Training Program. Shawn holds a Master of Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution at the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law and a Professional Coaching Certification through the College of Executive Coaching. She is also a Certified Organizational Ombuds Practitioner®. Shawn’s background in mediation includes mediating in Northern and Southern California Superior Courts as well as in the private and non-profit sectors. Prior to working in alternative dispute resolution, Shawn worked in the legal field providing case management for a wide range of practice areas. Additionally, Shawn has served students and families as a youth director with a special interest in mentoring, team-building and cross-cultural education.

Sequoia Hill

Associate Ombuds

 Sequoia serves as an Associate Ombuds for the University of California, Irvine. Sequoia attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from California State University, Channel Islands and a Master’s Degree in Conflict and Dispute Resolution from the University of Oregon. Sequoia has a combined 10 years of experience facilitating court-connected domestic relations and small claim mediations. In her free time, Sequoia is an avid reader and enjoys trying new restaurants.
Jeanne Fuller
Ombuds Intake & Office Administrator		 Jeanne serves as the first point of contact for visitors to the Office of the Ombuds. She holds a Bachelors degree from The George Washington University, and she has been with UCI for over 20 years, both at UCI Medical Center, and on campus. Jeanne helps visitors understand how the ombuds can help them.
